Post Know any Lung, Ovarian or Pancreatic cancer stocks?

Lung and ovarian cancers are both fatal and both detected very late so patients with these 2 cancers are very sick. Lung cancer does not have a perfect chemotherapy. Any cancer drug for lung, ovarian and pancreatic cancers (and
    melanoma) would be huge blockbusters.

Thumbs up Take a look at AVAX Tech

AVAX Technologies, Inc. (AVAX) is a development stage biotechnology company specializing in the development and future commercialization of individualized vaccine therapies and other technologies for the treatment of cancer. The Company's vaccine consists of autologous (the patient’s own) cancer cells that have been treated with a chemical (haptenized) to make them more visible to the patient’s immune system. AVAX refer to its cancer vaccine technology as autologous cell vaccine immunotherapy and to the vaccine as the AC Vaccine. Its clinical trials for the AC Vaccine have concentrated on melanoma, ovarian carcinoma, which are its primary indications, and non-small cell lung cancer. The Company refers to its AC Vaccine candidates as: M-Vax, L-Vax and O-Vax. M-Vax is for the treatment of melanoma. L-Vax is for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. O-Vax is for the treatment of ovarian cancer.

Thanks. I actually have 4800 shares of that and am planning to buy more.

These are the major causes of diseases and death in the USA:

    1. cancer (esp breast, lung, colon, pancreatic, ovarian cancers and melanoma. This also includes tests to detect early cancer.
    2. cardiovascular including myocardial infarct (heart attack), CHF (congestive heart failure) and cardiac arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation (irregular heart bets) and cerbrovascular accident (CVA)
    (stroke)
    3. Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol)
    4. Diabetes
    5. Hypertension (high blood pressure)
    6. Osteoporosis (hip fracture has 50% mortality within a year) 7. infectious diseases, esp good antibiotics 8. Women's / men's health: such as libido problems in women , hair loss in men

Default I'd take a serious look at TNFerade, GNVC's drug

It's not only extending lives substantially with Pancreatic Cancer, it's mechanism of use appears to permit it to compliment other drugs, rather then replacing them. While Pancreatic is the lead trial, and others currently are pretty much on hold because the company's short of funds, some excellent results have been seen in Esophageal, Head and Neck, and Melanoma. I believe that many others, including perhaps all that were named, may be included once the drug is partnered and approved making substantial money available for further trials.
