Fortress Investment Group (FIG: 4.23, -0.16, -3.64%) and Blackstone Group LP (BX: 13.44, -0.46, -3.31%) are expected to swing to the black when they report Friday.

INVESTMENT GROUP (FIG 4.3****): Although the initial public offering from
portfolio company Rail America (RA 11, NR) has performed poorly, we expect
FIG's private equity funds to continue to monetize portfolio investments as
markets improve.We think FIG's hedge fund flows have probably stabilized and
performance remains strong. Still, we think incentive fees will likely be minimal in the current year, but we expect a boost from these in '10.We are trimming our '09 estimate by $0.04 to $0.35, '10's by $0.13 to $0.58, but keep our $6 target price, in line with peer valuations. /M.Albrecht
