Interesting chart, could be a good time to get in, as long as it doesn't break below .80. And it would be nice to see it break 1.30 and watch it run....

Is AEN trending higher?

The volume of AEN is usually 200,000 to 300,000. The average volume is not a good representation since it is averaged higher due to a one time 13,000,000 volume on 1/8/10. It has less than 13M float so the pps can be moved substantially by a small volume. That seems to be a stock good for trading and also for long term due to its potential pipelines.

The news of Zinthionein launch, their main product, is expected "Q1 2010" per their presentation. Add the 10K very soon, probably the 1rst april, and that explains the reason of the run up.

Indeed. It's a bit tricky:
First, what they call "Phase 3" for zinthionein in their website is not really a Phase 3, since it won't go for a NDA. It will in fact follow the GRAS process (GRAS: Generally regarded as safe), which is much simpler than the NDA, and intended for nutritional stuff.

And what they will release is a version of zinthionein, called Zinthionein TM ZC GS-150, which is different than Zinc-Monocysteine that is following the GRAS process. (see their last powerpoint presentation)
Of the two, which one is in the trial is not clear to me.
But remember, the current trial is to see the effect of Zinthionein on Alzeihmer patients. Zinthionein is going to be launched for dry AMD first (see EyeDaily.com )
