2011 First Quarter Plays

SOMX is beginning is run up until its Jan 20 date with FDA. There is quite a bit of optimism in the air for this former >$4 stock. It's currently still a bargain in my opinion.

APPA jumped this morning for no apparent reason. This stock will likely have sessions like today from here to approval date in March. I will continue to press this winner over the next few weeks.

DDSS is pulling back a little recently. This is a good opportunity to add to my position over the next couple of weeks.

CRXX post merger is at its most attractive level over the past few months. The approval date will soon be on people's radar, I am therefore secretly building my position this and next week.

MNKD is back from its $7 lows and climbing as speculated recently.

CTIC has its expert panel in a few weeks and it's suppose going to make or break this company. It's on a moderate climb recently, I will continue to watch and wait over the next couple of weeks.

What do you guys think is a good entry point for MNKD?

Long term:
If approval goes through I guess it doesn't matter .. I can buy it @ todays price of 8.05.

However the real question is for Short term:
Do you guys think 8.05 is a good enough price in the short term? Or try and wait till (if) it goes down to 7.91/7.92 - it's almost one month support level?

I dont think it matters your talking about a few cents...if MNKD gets approval it should be at least @17- $25 .

But if it doesn't get approval, it may go in another direction hard. I'l use a stop to contain my losses in that case.

No Decision Coming out this week. FDA has delayed.

Stops are a great idea if you want to have your shares lifted. MM's know where the stops are and when you see those big rapid down days, it MM's clearing out the stops. It's how the game is played.
MNKD delay for a supplier plant inspection says to me the FDA is ready to approve the drug. Why bother with inspections if there are other issues with the drug? Unless you argue like the bashers that the FDA is just stringing MNKD along because their big buddy phamas want them to.

I Just added SOMX Jan. 20 date to FDA Calendar (awaiting approval by moderator). I believe that the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference Jan.11-14 which is a major event was THE reason for run up for many pharmas last week. This week a lot of TRADERS (not investors) will turn their attention (and newly acquired profits) to SOMX and run this up like last December . It will be pure gambling on how high it trades before and on the date of the meeting. Market is closed on Mon. Jan 18 for MLK Day. Leaves only 6 trading days before Jan.20 . I expect an easy double from $1.58. MNKD is $8.07 and will move up before Jan.16 but it's too expesive to move like SOMX will. SOMX is CHEAP. Traders love cheap stocks and FDA dates. Then I think the next big one for traders will be CTIC.

MNKD Has been delayed....There will be no decision on Jan. 16.

Some say...this is a sign of approval. Why would FDA bother with a facility inspection if there were other underlying issues with the drug itself...
