Default Federal Agricultural Mortgage(AGM) - Sleeping Giant?

It's similar to Fannie and Freddie Mac but for farmers. 1st quarter it posted a profit and it more than doubled in price but now has fallen to almost half of when it doubled. Think it'll double again when it posts 2nd quarter results in august?? Also it normally traded at ~$30 pps before all **** broke lose this year.

This one is definately worth looking into. I originally noticed AGM a while back (early this year) as they are considerably less exposed to the types of risk that caused the whole financial meltdown and they were having regular monthly swings over a $1. In the end I went with BAC (and did make a nice return) but I was really kicking myself when AGM shot from under $3 to $7+ in under 30 days. I might decide to jump in brfore the Q2 earnings release, but will wait forthe price to dip a bit (at leat to the $4.25 range) as I believe the recent spike was a benefit of the overall market run up.

    Here is the chart

I agree with DogDayTrader on the entry price. if it comes down to under $4 I will starting looking at it more closely.
