    Default possible h1n1 plays?

just received a few possible h1n1 plays, does anyone have any insight into any of these?, [bcrx, sva, nvax, qdel, vicl], is there 1 that sits above all the rest?

HEB & AGEN are also N1H1 plays as they both have drugs that are adjuvants which may enhance the efficacy of the flu vaccine.

Out of your list I like SVA. Already a presence in China, have close ties to the Chinese government, have quarterly profits, and are the first to have success with their N1H1 vaccine

    Check out CVM also.

************* has an article on the front page about CVM and some more articles in their subscriber only content page.

(I know the favstocks site strips the bio med reports link so just put in ************* and then the .com where appropriate.)

CVM just sold 9+ million shares (roughly 7% of all shares currently outstanding) to a group of private investors for .45¢ each and allows the investors to purchase up to 4,850,500 more shares at .55¢ per share between February 20, 2010 and on or prior to August 20, 2014. I also see in their last quarterly report that another investor has the right to buy 9,790,777 shares at .50¢ anytime now until June 2015. The article you posted states they are working on a "somewhat secretive, yet exciting drug technology". My question is, if it's of anything of real value why sell out so cheap? Seems fishy.

That is the big question with many biotechs in mid-to-late stage development; Why are they diluting? It always seems to frustrate many investors, and especially those invested biotechs involved only in early stage development. In short, these companies do not have a reliable source of revenue outside of investors, both public and private.

Personally I see big problems with straight up public offerings but private placements don't concern me as much. However, I was also concerned with the relatively heavy dilution as of late with CVM and have pulled some risk off the table.

That all being said, it does seem that CVM has an ace up their sleeve and is worthy of a position using some speculative money. Not only for the H1N1 play but also because of their recent SEC filings, recent increased volume and/or interest, and the influx of cash from the recent private placement.
