    Default Canadian brokers, eh?

I use Scotia iTrade, and I don't do a lot of trading. Fewer than 30 trades, and they're $20 each! I don't expect to do more than 30 trades in any quarter any time soon, so I've been thinking of switching to a different broker.

I found Questtrade - looks like they offer all-you-can-eat $5 stock trades. Anyone with any opinions on this or any other Canadian online brokerages? Eh?

I use Questrade. Its cheap, reliable and fast. Good for small time investors. However, if you are looking to set up a TFSA account, be aware that some pink and otc stocks (HTDS, BIEL, ALDS) are not allowed. Government regulations.

I have been using Questrade for about 5 months now and like it. TD Waterhouse was just too expensive for the low volume of trades I do.

Can you have any us equities in TFSA? I'm using TD waterhouse, little expensive but much easier to transfer funds since i bank with them anyways.
