Hi,
After much analysis i chose InteractiveBrokers due to their SDK to develop my own programs. It could test the SDK before sign in and I found it had what I needed.
On the trading side costs are ok, web trading ok, charts not bad, could be better.

I like Interactive brokers and using also Thinkorswim for charts and TA.
best broker zecco
TD Ameritrade has think or swim platform now so its like 2 brokers in 1. I also like the other platforms they have and the flat no hidden fee rates.
Optionsxpress if you trade optins in 10 lots.
TD Ameritrade/TD Waterhouse (Can) is useful once you make trades for a
number of months. I find it's like anything else: when you "earn" a good record
and your account remains in good standing for some time, you can pretty much
call them up and they'll do whatever you want. Make miracles happen, if you
*believe* in miracles. Just have to build a *relationship* with them. They
REALLY hate it when you call them back and complain about commissions.
Even when they're right, they'll always compromise to shut me up. I do like that.
zecco and sogotrade is the best. especially zecco is better than scottrade if you play penny stocks
I currently use Charles Schwab.
They are definitely not the cheapest, but the quality of their service is tremendous.
They are ranked # 1 in online brokerages by JD Power.
I have been pleased.
Hopefully I will make enough in the next quarter to open a level 2 platform account Tradestation etc... But I still am learning the ropes, so Schwab is good for the level of experience that I have right now.
