I have been using EduTrader from eSignal (Dynamic Trend). It is an outstanding charting platform with some great scans for possible trades. Unfortunately you can't trade directly from it. But it has just about anything else you might want.
There are three main categories in trading software.
A) Data :- Prices can vary greatly for data feeds, with the exchange setting the base price. Such feeds are only useful to occasional investors.
B) Charting :- The vast majority of day traders will chart prices in some kind of charting software.
C) Trade Execution :- Once a trader has their data and can see and analyze it on a chart, they will at some point want to place a trade. To do so, they need to use some kind of trade execution software.
This software which you speak, besides the program itself, has some other services? (you know, news, alerts ...)
The software about you talk, are too technical fo me.
Could you explain it in more detail?
Thanks a lot!!!

Thinkorswim BY FAR! Cheap commissions with flatrate, and an outstanding platform. Very customizable. I hate Scottrade and Schwab platforms.. not much experience with much else.
thanks a lot
what about softwares that provide buy/sell signals?

Ninja Trader is a good choice for buy/sell signals.
Also if you have a TDAmeritrade account you can use the Strategy Desk.
Good Luck
