the one thing to be said about both seekingalpha.com and thestreet.com is that both have stock moving qualities, at least over the short term. After an article in seekingalpha.com about a lesser known stock you will generally see an increase in price and volume in that stock within a short few days. This happens because of the number of readers because the site features in the commentary/blogs section of the Etrade trading site. You see a similar phenomenon with thestreet.com. However, hard experience has thought me that the articles on seekingalpha.com are sometimes not 100% accurate due to their open solicitation of articles, with the result that after an initial ride upwards, these stocks fizzle shortly afterwards. the stocks recommended on thestreet.com seem a little more long wearing, as they seem to have better editorial overview.
