I personally like both of them. I only use the free sides of each site and find stockcharts.com to be a good charting site, while barchart.com is helpful as a tertiary(sp) indicator to supplement my own research. However I would not buy or sell based on barchart's recommendation alone. While I have not done any studies to see how accurate and/or reliable their recommendations are, I don't feel comfortable with putting my investments in the hands of a website, any website.

Another good charting site (brought to my attention by one of the members here) is freestockcharts.com. It is a flash based site with tons of indicators and drawing tools. Their only drawback is that they do not cover OTC, BB or Pink Sheet stocks.
